Elders merchandise stock and promote a wide range of Animal Health products at competitive pricing, and our staff have the knowledge and expertise to assist clients with all of their animal husbandry requirements. Elders has strong relationships with the leading Animal Health suppliers in NZ, including Jurox, Fort Dodge, Novartis, Intervet, Coopers and Bayer, who are multi-national company’s that invest millions every year on research and development. We also have a team of dairy experts on staff throughout NZ who have the specialist knowledge to advise dairy farmers on all aspects of shed hygiene, and dairy herd animal heath issues in general. Fencing
Elders Merchandise stock and promote a large range of fencing products, from round-wood sourced from many areas and mills across NZ, wire that is mostly sourced from Euro Corp in Auckland, and both the Gallagher and Stafix range of electric fence products. Elders are committed to being competitive in this market, but also understand that quality is extremely important and so we only promote quality products. Our staff teams are well trained in all aspects of fence design and construction, and are only too willing to assist clients with all of their fencing requirements.
Fertilizer
Elders work very closely with Ballance, who are the leading bulk Fertilizer manufacturer and importer in NZ, and a large array of specialist biological, liquid and trace element manufacturers and distributors. Fertilizer represents a significant part of most farmers’ annual budget, however the Elders merchandise team has the expertise and knowledge to help ensure that our clients select and apply the right product to achieve their production objectives in the most cost effective manner.
Crop Protection
Elders recognize that crop protection is a key component of modern farming operations, and we have a team of experienced and knowledgeable staff who are able to provide information and advice on product selection and application options. We work closely with a vast array of multi-national and local suppliers such as Nufarm, Syngenta, Bayer, Dow, Dupont, Orion and Agronica, and are able to supply both proprietary and generic chemistry on attractive terms and at competitive prices.
Seed
The Elders staff team pride themselves on their seed knowledge, and their ability to give quality impartial advice on variety selection and paddock selection and rotation issues. Our seed is sourced from all of the major seed companies in NZ, with some lines being imported directly. Various seed paddock trials and field days are held throughout NZ, and the Elders team are only too happy to take clients to see first hand how varieties perform in truly local conditions.
Irrigation
Elders supply top quality polythene pipe, culverts, and drainage products from a variety of NZ manufacturers. We have access to irrigation specialists who can provide practical on-farm advice regarding pipe-line, tank, trough and irrigator issues. Most of our stores carry a range of fittings and pipe, and special orders and installations can be facilitated as required.
