Elders Primary Wool is a 50/50 joint venture between Elders and the Primary Wool Co-operative (PWC). PWC is a 100% wool grower owned co-operative. Elders Primary Wool own the market programme Wool Marketing Enterprises and its brand Just Shorn.
The company operates from wool stores in 10 key locations across the North and South Islands employing a large network of excellent technical field staff. Our wide range of wool services, on-farm and off, focuses on maximising returns to our wool growers and expanding their marketing opportunities.
Wool handled by Elders Primary Wool may be sold at auction or by private sale, or marketed directly to carpet mills, yarn-makers and wool exporters. We handle all wool types from very fine wool clips, right through the mid-micron range to the strong wool varieties. All have a valuable role to play in the production of highly sort-after, lightweight fashion apparel and natural woolen fabrics and carpets.
